Summer Reading Program 2022

It's almost time for our SRP 2022 to begin!
SRP 2022 runs July 1-August 31, 2022.
The program will be a combination of activities and reading logs and has something for everyone, not just for kids!
We will have activities and programs happening IN the library this year!
From Builder's Club to Arts & Crafts days, and more in between!
These will be a combination of drop-in and pre-registered programs for school aged kids, as well as all ages crowds. There will be a few take-home kits available for those that can't attend programs in person.

Reading Logs
Keep track of your reading from July 1 through August 31 and turn your minutes into ballots for a prize draw.
ALL AGES (kids through adults) welcome to participate.
The Northern Lights Library System has 3 grand prizes, one for each age category, that your reading will earn you ballots towards. The Bonnyville Municipal Library will also have an in-house prize draw geared towards children.
Sand Art Contest
Get creative in the sand, submit your photo to enter the contest, vote online for your favourite entries.
- Submit your contest entry photo anytime between July 1-31, 2022.
- Photos can be submitted by email or via social media messaging.
- Vote online between August 7-20, 2022.
- Winner gets a sand castle building kit.
Summer Pen Pals
Register to be paired with a pen pal from across the Northern Lights Library System. ALL AGES (kids through adults) welcome to participate. This means you may be paired with someone of a much different age group than you, but that can be extra fun.
No postage needed, we're using the library book vans to send the letters around.
You MUST register to participate, we can't pair you with a pen pal if we don't know you're interested.
Registration deadline is June 30, 2022.

Friday 15
Compete against other communities in the Northern Lights Library System for the most Friday readers!
Log online when you read for a minimum of 15 minutes any Friday in the summer and help Bonnyville beat our neighbouring communities.
Each person counts, so if your whole family reads be sure to count them all when you log your participation.
There's also a prize draw for participants. Every Friday you log earns a ballot into the draw.
Scavenger Hunts
Throughout the summer keep an eye out at the library for different scavenger hunts to do to earn a small treat.
